Chattanooga Field Trip

Friday we went to the Chattanooga Aquarium. There we saw many animals and learned any interesting facts about the ocean and rivers around the world. After the aquarium tour we went on a Duck Boat ride through the river that surrounds the beautiful town of Chattanooga. There we leaned many facts about the town and its history such as the fact that Chattanooga was very industrialized back in that day, even making into the top 3 most industrialized cities in the U.S. The field trip was overall really great and I am glad I got ton know some of my classmates better and have a great day with them!

Prom Weekend

Last weekend was prom weekend. It was time to get all dressed up and to have a good time away from all the stress at school. I personally had the best time and would not have changed anything. It was a busy day that consisted of getting ready, taking pictures, going to dinner and dancing. I made many new friends which was very nice, and I am very much looking forward to my junior year prom next year when I can be with my friends and get to experience prom with them.

Magical Bunny

It was a normal Sunday afternoon until a baby bunny appeared in a hat on my doorstep. I soon discover it had one special, magical ability. His magical ability was to give each human a special wish. I thought to myself "what would I ever wish? Or need right now" and soon it came to me that I has school the next day. So quickly I replied "I wish for a snow day!". The bunny told me he could do that and then turned around and ran away from me. I was really confused until I woke up the next morning and looked outside and saw everything covered in snow. It was the happiest day of my life.

Individuality

In today’s society, basing you opinions and beliefs on other people’s thoughts is very common. Mostly people do it to fit in and that is completely natural and human. But when is enough, enough?
Society has changed over time and so have people. New traditions have been made and new standards have been set. Technology has been a big influence. Technological advances causes society to neglect other values, such as education and independent thinking. Mark Twain, even once said, “It is rare to find an objective and independent viewpoint on style, literature, politics, or any other matter. Many people's opinions are formed through their associations with others…We give in to the human instinct to go along with the crowd and to have its approval.”

A New Place To Call Home

Never did I ever think that such a drastic change would happen in my life just in a matter of months...
A couple months ago I was introduced to the idea of going to a boarding school. I wasn’t very interested at first, but after visiting The Webb School, I could not see myself anywhere else. After meeting a very dedicated faculty and extremely engaged student body, I knew that I could not pass such an opportunity. After many years going to a huge high school, I was ready to have smaller classes and have many responsibilities. After a long and intense application process, I got in and now I have a new home where I could not be any happier. So with that, I do believe The Webb School is the perfect fit for me.

New Years Resolution

This year, I decided to only make a few New Year's resolutions due to the fact that usually, I make too many of them and end up not sticking to any. The fist resolution I would like to stick to this year is to be successful academically. The steps I am taking are in progress and will continue all year. The first step I have taken to help me achieve my goal was transferring to Webb. Here, I will be able to focus on school completely and to get the education I am looking for. My second and last resolution for this year is to maintain a healthy life by working out and eating healthy. By sticking to these simple resolutions, I will be able to live a healthy balanced life.
